我想列出目前我能记起来的读过的外国文学。这些书构成了我生命，也是你了解我的一个非常重要的途径。我想先用书的原文列出，并且注上英文翻译，这样最忠实于书本身；再用中文列出，这样就很方便理解了。我并没有学过法语，但法国文学构成了我阅读生命最大的一部分。
I want to list all the foreign literature I can currently remember reading. These books have shaped my life and are also a very important way for you to understand me. I’d like to first list them in their original languages with English translations, which is the most faithful to the books themselves; then list them separately in Chinese, French, and Japanese, which will be easier to understand. I have never studied French, but French literature has formed the largest part of my reading life.
